Highly recommended! This place is a jewel. The historic nature of the house, combined with the gracious hospitality, takes you back in time. Our host Crispin was helpful and warm. The home made food, the lovely little fish pond, the canal running alongside, the immaculate but old fashioned rooms, the huge variety of plants, the jet black rooster and loving Labrador all contributed to one of the best vacation stays we have had as a family. And don't miss the chance to do a trip on his beautiful houseboat!

Amazing experience of what Kerala was like in the past. The host Crispin is very knowledgeable of the history of Kumarakom and what life was like then. The houseboat experience was top notch and had great food. I would recommend tourist of any background to visit but especially Malayali-Americans that want to learn about their culture

The time and money spend on this authentic Kerala house boat back water ride was well worth it. The back water senery was second to none. Definitely in my top 10 list. The service provided is top class. Be it the organic toddy(alcoholic beverage created from the sap of coconut palms) they served, the fresh hot fried fish along with it , lunch , evening snacks is top notch. A world class experience that you cherish for a long time. It is definitely a steal if you compare the quality of experience it provided to you to other options world wide. A days worth of life time experience for us (group of 16) for a mere $15 per person. I been to quite a few countries. Quality wise, cost wise...it is well worth it and it is a steal guys!

Loved the stay at Kodianthara heritage home. Crispin uncle was very friendly and he made sure our stay was very comfortable. we felt home at his place. Crispin uncle spent lot of time with our kids narrating many events from his life and his ancestors life.

The house design is historic and very well preserved. The architecture of house is very attractive. Mr. Crispin is very friendly and welcoming.He shared many of his stories and doesn't make us feel we are away from our home.He also helped us in our tour acting as guide. The main road and other roads are good but only small portion of street to enter are muddy and rough while monsoon. The property lives near the nature. At last I was satisfied and the property is very beautiful and nice 🙂😊☺️.
